Where Is The Minecraft Screenshot Folder in Windows & Mac?

This article shows you how to find screenshots taken in Minecraft on Macs and Windows.

  • On Windows, screenshots can be found in the folder .minecraft//screenshots within the AppData/Roaming folder. In the search bar, type %appdata%. Select the folder that appears. Select the .minecraft folder inside it. Under the same name, you’ll find all your screenshots. That’s it!
  • To access Minecraft settings overlay in Windows 10,11 press Win + G. Click on the camera button under Game Capturing to take a screenshot. An alert appears indicating the location of the screenshot. By default, screenshots are saved to C://Users/*username>//Videos//Captures.
  • For macOS, screenshots are placed in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/screenshots. You can locate this folder by opening Finder > Clicking “Go” from the menu bar > Then clicking “Go to Folder”. Copy the location and paste it then press enter.
  • On Linux they are stored in ~/.minecraft/screenshots
